Hooray! I have finally been able to sit down and edit all of our Christmas photos! It's a belated Christmas miracle! On Christmas Eve, Meggie was in charge of creating all of the sweets we gave to family/friends as gifts, which included chocolate-covered pretzels with peppermint dust, chocolate fudge bars in festive shapes with peppermint crumbles, snickerdoodles, and chocolate chip cookies. (This girl is a confectionary genius, if you haven't figured that out.)
After the littles went to bed, we pulled out all the presents and lined them up around the tree. One of R's traditions is giving all the kids their own wrapping paper they know exactly where to go when it's their turn. Isn't that smart?

After the all the presents were open, we all drove to my grandfather's house in Palmer so my family could meet my family for the first time! The kittens had the butt-crazy adorable idea of bringing Grandpa Jim the last piece of pumpkin pie as a gift, and we had all of our Meghan-made sweets in tow, too! Juju brought plenty of presents for us from her cruise (which included boas, because my mom is endlessly adorable), and Aunt Brendi immediately fell in love with everyone. ;P

After some hot cocoa and lots of hugs (my step-kittens have no stranger danger, lemme tell you! hugs and compliments all around! all the time!), we drove back north to hang out with Granners for a little bit. Gotta love the Christmas traveling!

The kittens were finally able to play in the snow at Granners. "Merry Christmas! Here's all these presents and magical holiday snow! Now get in the car and be pleasant because you can't play with any of those things right now!"

We then came home to our Official Christmas Mess. I mean, look at it. I just have to document that this mess happened, we cleaned it up the next day, and survived. LIKE A GROWN-UP.
