Daddy + Daughter + Easy Bake Over :D

A very symmetrical steak dinner... :D

Bellesa dying of giggles...

... because my husband was prancing around like this. ;P

A beautiful picture of Auntie Mags

The cutest bathroom tile in one of my open houses & a happy moment for my sellers!

My little monkey family...

... which wouldn't end until Meghan came and joined. ;P

But Meg quickly had to get back to prepping Emmy's beautiful rainbow birthday cake. :D

A beautiful little moment of Emmy and R3 acting like siblings who love each other (while Emmy makes rock candy!)

We texted this picture to RSVP "no" to a party at the last minute and it still makes me giggle. ;P

"Who loves ya baby!" I do! I do!

Shaleah at her first ever happy hour! <3 <3 <3

R helping R3 set up his fishing gear. :D

Sadie - super excited about a getting a Bible from Dan, Brenda and Dana!

YAUNA! *heart eyes*

Bellesa and Meghan. :D

An afternoon of fishing in Little Elm

CJ never fails to make me laugh!

So proud of his 'matos!

A beautiful dinner of fish with a queso & mango/peach salsa garish, salad and cauliflower with my sweet man. YUM.

Richard and Matt at RUSH!

R3: not impressed with graduation ceremonies. ;P

Sadie: Drag Queen Student.

A simple dinner.

The birthday kiddos!

As well as MY birthday week!

When the rain finally STOPPED + swirly mashed potatoes at a business lunch.

R's tomatos + a pretty rainbow after dinner at Frankie's.

Of course she did!

A t-shirt I got for R because he gets it. ;P

Other joys, not necessarily photographed:
- hanging out with Nancy + Nery one evening!
- and another evening with Bob + Debbie + Aaron!
- a nice little Thai lunch with Mary <3
- New season of "Orange Is The New Black!" (And watching it in TWO DAYS)
- A nice Mommy's Day dinner for mom and Darrah
- And a very lovely Step-Mommy's Day spread for me! :D
- Birthday shopping thanks to mumsie :D
- R taking such good care of me: dinner, getting a new phone ASAP when mine died, taking care of my car... he's just the cat's pajamas. <3
- Establishing decent phone rapport with Cody!
- Seeing "Inside Out" TWICE in one weekend (and therefore crying multiple times in one weekend)
- This small insight to some very giggly kittens one night (like, so giggly they woke me up!). They were apparently pausing "Big Hero 6" at random times and providing silly commentary to the frozen image on screen. This is most likely only interesting to me and my husband. ;P
- Stephen texting me and R: "Thanks for helping my wife feel better." UM <3 <3 <3
- Sadie pulling up a seat next to Grandpa Jim at dinner,  just because she wanted to!

richard is 11

And here is another little dumpling's birthday! Today's catch-up day. ;)

Richard III turned 11 a few weeks ago, and bless us all - he's turning into the sweetest little man who ever existed. Here's a little recap of R3's great year...
- He LOVES math and science (score!) and doing all kinds of math/sciencey things with Stephen!
- R3 has the cutest idea of having a lemonade stand at our big garage sale last October. (Which, lasted all of 5 minutes because it was hot and boring. But we give him props for thinking of it! ;))
- He's basically BFFs with our neighbor across the street, Jake (who he met because of said garage sale!). They go to the park together, play video games, have sleepovers... thank goodness, because R3 is surrounded by estrogen nearly 24/7!
- And when he's not able to hang out with a fellow dude, he will just sleep on the couch some nights for his boy time. Bless!
- He's pretty much ALWAYS the first one to hug me when I come home (even if his eyes are still glued to the video game on TV ;P)
- He officially discovered his love of fishing (which happened as R would take fishing gear up to Little Elm to pass the time waiting for Sadie's volleyball practices to start). R3 always liked to fish, but he seems to be super into it these days. Like, "Dad, you're bringing all the fishing gear, right?!" ;P
- He did a great job of claiming the only chair in the kittens' room as "R3's Personal TV Chair." BIG DEAL.
- He kinda maybe sort of talks about girls sometimes?! No, of course, he's too cool for that. ;)
- He got a motor scooter for Christmas and drives that thing all around the neighborhood! I mean, he even picks up other kids we've never seen before and drives them around (to our house, to the park...) It's so cute!
- Watching "Death Race 2000" with me!

Great R3 quotes this year include...
- "At first I was really happy our dental appointments were cancelled, but now I see how you feel about it and I'm really sad about it..." (post-Snowpocalypse Dentalpocalypse!)
- "What?! No... I... no, what?!" when you accuse him of anything girl-related. ;P
- When he called Meghan on his own because he missed her and wanted to hear her voice (me = dead)
- "I'm as cute as a great white shark." ;P
- Amazingly hilarious video game commentaries, including "Wrecking Ball" parody ("I came in like an ICE-CREAM BARRR!") and simply saying "MY ANACONDA DON'T---!" over and over again.
- Grabbing my hand and saying "Hi, step-mom..." a few days after we told them R & I were getting married. (RIP ME!)
- "Emily, you look really pretty in that picture!" trying to say something nice to his sister, even though she was being ROUGH!

This year for little man's birthday, we had burgers and he got a FULL fishing gear set-up. Um, R3-tastic! Meghan made a beautiful (and delicious!) Oreo cake and Jake even spent the night! Because his birthday falls so closely to Fathers Day, R had planned for all the boys to go out fishing early over the weekend... but thanks to the rain, that didn't really work out. (Bummer!) BUT, I was able to take the birthday boy to Alamo Drafthouse to see "Inside Out" for our birthday date, and he was sooo excited! We ordered big shakes and a mountain of popcorn, and I cried alot (which thankfully R3 didn't mind ;P).

I'll happily say this 1000 times, because it's 1000% true: R3 is hands down the sweetest little man on the entire planet. He has a heart and soul of gold, this one. We have alot of new things happening on the horizon (junior high!) and I can't wait to see all the things he gets into. We love you so much, HoJu! :D

emily is 12

A little behind the times in this one! #realestatelife ;)

Our sweet, darling Emily turned 12 this year. She's such a fun girl, and has had such a wonderful year, including (but not limited to)...
- She started junior high!
- And with junior high came... make-up! But, don't worry, it didn't stick. She was really into make-up for 3-4 months (much to her father's chagrin) but then it pretty much dwindled out (much to her father's delight!) for the rest of the year.
- She has a boyfriend... kinda! His name is Gabriel, and he's looks like a bona-fide Pixar boy character. ;) They hang out and go to choir concerts and little school parties together, don'tcha know.
- Emily became really into band. She played tried out the clarinet and bassoon before finally landing on the saxa(ma)phone :)
- Due to scheduling conflicts, she had to choose between band OR art, and it was not a fun time at the Moore household. (That's basically asking her, "Would you rather loose your right arm or left arm?")
- Emily got an iPod for Christmas, which meant lots of Facetime and texts when we can't see our little boogerhead. :)
- She even started watching foreign films with me! I was watching "Jules et Jim" one afternoon, and Emily just plopped down beside me and dove right in. Now, she didn't finish watching it (which I told her was a-ok!) but bless her heart, she wanted me to tell her how it ended. <3
- Learning how to talk about what's bothering her. Classic middle child this one! "Oh, I'm just fine! It's all ok!" No no no, we pull it out of her whenever we can. ;) (And say, "Hey, isn't it cool that we figured something out?! Wasn't that worth talking about it?!")
- And I taught her how to cat-walk through the Old Navy parking lot. ;P

Great Emily quotes this year include...
- "Sir Ice Cream Newton."
- Me: "Emily, you didn't put your name on Darrah's [homemade] card." Emily: "Are you kidding, it has "Emily" written all over it!"
- "Will you email all your clients and tell them I said hi?" GURL.
- Apparently she got in a lot of trouble with her mom for getting excessively dirty at the playground one weekend (like, covering herself in mud kinda dirty). When I asked her, "Why on earth did you do that!" She said, "I don't know, I just really wanted to and I felt SO ALIVE!" (My heart proceeded to burst in a million different directions...)
- I got a new driver's license after R and I got married, and when I showed to to the kids Emily said, "Wow, Daddy's going to stare at that for HOURS!"

This year, we had quite the celebration for Emily! And... I didn't take any pictures. ;) (I had a listing come on the market that same weekend... again, #realestatelife!) Dan, Brenda and Dana were in town, so we met everyone at the bowling alley in Ennis for a good time (including cheese fries!). Afterwards, we picked up a mountain of pizza to take back to the Hill for dinner and presents. It was quite a whirlwind! Of course she made out like a bandit with presents galore, and it was such a fabulous day. Meghan even made a RAINBOW cake!

For our "Kylie date," I took the sweet dumpling to see "Pitch Perfect 2" at Alamo Drafthouse bright at early... so early we went in our jammies! (Emily loooved that!) We were so excited to try to the brunch menu and be the only ones in the theatre. It was such a fun morning!

Emily, we love you so much and I'm sorry I didn't take pictures for the SECOND year in a row! I feel so terrible! You're such an amazing, smart young lady and we think you're so unbelievably cool. You have the most beautiful spirit (and HAIR!) and I love that you still call me "Ms. Kylie."
