It was a very chill Thanksgiving this year, as the littles were at their mom's and Mumsie was on her way to a cruise! Bob made a surprise visit, tho! We served prime rib instead of turkey, and R made me ginger/lime/avocado tunaaaa (in addition to breakfast biscuits!). The Cowboys even won! It was so nice to just hang out with our closest peeps, catch-up and be silly. Outside of Ruby piercing Ryan's hand (they're both strong and stubborn!), it was pretty perfect. 😎
We had such a lovely, chill, locals-only Thanksgiving potluck this year... complete with goulash! (Emily and I had MAHI, THO) There's a big video on my hard-drive, and approximately a million more hilarious pictures of the girls trying to get a GOOD PICTURE outside, haha. ;)
(This was the first family event in a thousand years where I had the emotional energy to bring out my fancy camera! Not all the pictures are 1000% perfect, not like they ever are!, but it's a step in my preferred direction, lolz)
Not pictured: lots of adorable family texting and a trip to the emergency room at 2am. WOOHOO.
Very Important: My Wes Anderson Thanksgiving Lewk.
Our pie situation #blest
Juju and Hoju went for a walk!
iPhone blessings: FaceTime from the creek (with Juju!) and snippets of Easy E!
DEM CHEEK BONES!
Mom brought some jeans for us to try, which Emily tragically rejected - BUT, she did let me capture this picture of her #LOOK and I will forever be grateful because it's SO DARN CUTE.
Meggie's baklava cheesecake!
Watching Sweeney Todd (after Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!)
And now the epic process of trying to get the Little Girls into taking a picture (MEGHAN HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY TRAINED/BEATEN DOWN, OBVS.)
We'll take this one! ;)
(Emily with her Pet Hand, haha)
"Y'all look at the camera!" Oh, thx. ;)
Feast!
The chef deserved an actual (non-paper) dinner plate. ;)
This Thanksgiving and subsequent weekend was one for the record books. We ate & drank like kings, saw all the "over 18-year-olds" we loved (the littles' were at their mom's), watched a bunch of Simpsons episodes (yay for the annual marathon!), put up the Christmas decor! The only downside was the guilt I felt after Thanksgiving Day for being ABSOLUTELY ZERO HELP. I mean, I took all these pictures and videos (videos on my hard-drive, haha), but in terms of actually doing something that contributed to the day's fesitivies... I was out, haha. (I'm obviously super thankful for family that doesn't kick my ass for being so chillax.)
Hilarious texts that I gotta keep for the memories. :)
Richard & D, talking to the uncles.
Ryan, being adorable.
I probably said something like, "Be really cute, baby!" ;P
Dessert cousins!
Mommy being continually adorable the next day!
The girls chillin' out and then rocking onesies at the mall. (Mom brought me a bunch of high-school stuff the day before and the tie-dye onesie was passed downed to Meghan!) I even managed to put up the Christmas tree the next day, which is a small miracle. ;P
Hanging out with Debbie, Aaron, Matt & Ioana at a karaoke bar!
