First post... Halloween!

Thursday, November 1, 2012

This past weekend was the Halloween Party Weekend, of course! I was a Flapper Honeybee, and Richard was a Fucking Dainty Flower, Dammit.

We stopped by to see Patsy, Jimmy, and the Hubbels before heading out.

We went to a friend's, which was fully stocked with beer, scotch, snackies, and silliness.

And then a couple of nuns, "Halle" and "Luah," invited us to the gay Halloqueen party across the street.
(You don't have to tell me twice!)

Which turned out to be a surprise birthgay party for Robin! Look at how adorable he is!

Halloween Lessons:
1. "Like Kylie Minogue?" (in response to introducing myself) is one of my favorite questions.
2. I will never stop thinking about kick-ass couples' Halloween costumes.
3. Maturing as a woman means wanting to dress up as Peggy Bundy instead of Kelly Bundy.
4. Homosexual puns are too good not to make.

For as grumpy and cynical I can be about the actual festivities ("I work retail!" is REALLY GOOD EXCUSE, GUYS), I just love how fall is a clusterfuck of warmth, spice, wide-eyes and bushy tails. Being tired can be a joyful feeling. Mainly in retrospect.
